Charitable Fund – Grant Guidelines
Mission:

The Jackson Family Donor Advised Fund exists to strengthen our communities and improve lives by supporting nonprofit organizations that create lasting, measurable change.

Funding Priorities

1. Education & Youth Development
• Scholarships and programs that expand educational access and achievement.
• Initiatives that promote literacy, digital literacy, and workforce readiness.
• Youth mentorship and leadership development programs.

2. Health & Human Services
• Programs addressing basic needs such as food security, housing, and mental health.
• Initiatives that increase access to healthcare for underserved populations.
• Support for wellness and prevention programs.

3. Community & Economic Development
• Projects enhancing local communities and fostering social equity.
• Job training and economic empowerment initiatives.
• Neighborhood revitalization and cultural enrichment programs.

4. Environmental, Wildlife & Animal Welfare Stewardship
• Conservation and sustainability projects.
• Environmental education and protection efforts.
• Advance wildlife conservation, habitat preservation or endangered species protection.

5. Religious and Faith Based Stewardship
• Sever the general public regardless of faith or religious affiliation
• Address community needs such as hunger relief, housing or education
• Do not require participation in worship or religious instruction.

Grant Size & Timing
• Typical grants range from $500.00 to $10,000.00.
• Applications reviewed bi-annually; decisions announced in April and October.

How to Apply
1. Download our Grant Application Form.
2. Complete all sections and include required attachments (IRS letter, budget, financials).
3. Submit by deadline dates of March 31 or September 30 to donorrequest@thejacksoncompanies.com

Review Process
• All applications scored using our standardized rubric (mission alignment, impact, feasibility, financial stability).
• Applicants notified of funding decisions and reporting requirements.

Reporting
• Funded organizations must submit a brief outcomes and financial report one-year following the award of funds, using our provided template.
